Sorry for the lack of posting lately, but life for me has been a bit busy lately. Expect that to continue throughout different parts of the rest of October.

I apologize, though I'll have offseason thoughts down before it actually starts. For now, enjoy the playoffs.

Open Thread: Bobby V

It may not happen or even be close to happening, but I just want to see your thoughts on him coming back.

Baseball Prospectus PTP on the Mets.

Some interesting stuff on Al Leiter, the rest of the pitching staff and Omar Minaya.

The Yankee game is on in primetime, meaning I get to watch Johan Santana pitch, one of my favorite activites in the world.

Unfortunately, I don't have much time around that, so I don't have anything to say really (which is also true for the next two days too).

But, in my absence, check out Matt's post on the Cabrera-Reyes-Soriano situation.

And enjoy the playoff baseball.

What I mentioned the other day is finally spinning around in print... I commented on it the other day, so I'd rather leave it be to itself.

Also, to be honest, I want to take today to look back at the season. What was your favorite moment from the season (And I'm being serious)?

Mine? To be perfectly honest, it was the second game of the DH against the Yankees that Mike Stanton allowed 3 more inherited runners to score, putting his total at 6 for 6 for the day. I know, that's not a good memory, right? Well, there are those things at BTF called Game Chatters. And that was definitely the best one of the year, with all the Mets regulars still around (and caring), all the Yankee people around and Mike Stanton's implosion (plus the many ups and downs of that game) providing much comedy for the massive DH thread.

In a season that ended so badly, I guess I look back at delight at the early game chatters in the season, knowing they helped make some of the games a little easier (and a little more entertaining) to take in.

Also, for the heck of it, here are my playoff predictions...

Twins over Yanks in 5
Boston over Angels in 3
LA over Cardinals in 4
Atlanta over Houston in 5

Twins over Boston in 7
LA over Atlanta in 5

Twins over LA in 6

Omar Minaya does an interview... and says this...
You can have veterans who are athletic. Gerald Williams is athletic.
Then go to the BTF thread on this and read #12 by MGL.

Enjoy your day.
